At ESCORXADOR FRIGORIFIC D’OSONA SA, we operate under the strict supervision of a dedicated team of Official Veterinarians assigned by the Catalan Health Agency (Generalitat de Catalunya), along with the support of nine auxiliary veterinary professionals.
These experts are responsible for conducting both ante-mortem and post-mortem inspections, ensuring the health and welfare of animals prior to processing and verifying the safety and quality of meat products afterward.
The Official Veterinarians have the final authority in approving meat for human consumption. They also conduct regular audits and inspections covering every aspect of our operation — from animal welfare and hygiene protocols to good manufacturing practices (GMP) — all aligned with our comprehensive quality management system, mandatory regulatory requirements, and internal self-monitoring controls (HACCP, traceability, etc.).
